For our contemporaries the most burning and pressing issues are health, disease, transition from nazdrovia to healing. In the Orthodox tradition it is believed that to consider only the physical side of the disease incorrectly and one-sidedly that there is no health without mental bodily.The greatest Christian theologian John Chrysostom (IV C.) warned: “the Depravity of the soul is the cause of bodily disease” (1, p. 143). The Supreme gift of God is health, which needs to be stored, and dissipated to return through spiritual purification and medical devices.
In the books of the old and New Testament indicate that the medical profession is necessary, even sacred and blessed.
“Honour the physician for the need of it, for the Lord created him, and from above – doctoring… my Son! In your sickness do not be negligent, but pray to the Lord and He will heal thee; leave a sinful life, and fix your hands, and from all sin, cleanse the heart. And give place to the physician for him and the Lord made…” Ser. 38. 1,2,9,10,12.
The time of arrival of the Savior the Jews were the doctors, who learned from Greeks to do some surgery, used natural cures and ointments.

The versatility of this healing energy that heals a variety of diseases: “When the onset of evening, the sun was setting, people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed…And He healed many that were sick with divers diseases, and cast out many demons” (MK. 1. 32 – 34).
