The history of the use of medicinal herbs

In the Orthodox tradition it is believed that to consider only the physical side of the disease incorrectly and one-sidedly that there is no health without mental bodily.The greatest Christian theologian John Chrysostom (IV C.) warned: “the Depravity of the soul is the cause of bodily disease” (1, p. 143). The Supreme gift of God is health, which needs to be stored, and dissipated to return through spiritual purification and medical devices.

In the books of the old and New Testament indicate that the medical profession is necessary, even sacred and blessed.

“Honour the physician for the need of it, for the Lord created him, and from above – doctoring… my Son! In your sickness do not be negligent, but pray to the Lord and He will heal thee; leave a sinful life, and fix your hands, and from all sin, cleanse the heart.
