The history of the use of medicinal herbs
With the appearance of writing data on the healing properties of plants began to write, which significantly expanded their application in practical purposes. A talented scholar of Central Asia, Avicenna, in his brilliant book “Canon of medicine”, talks about the characteristics of more than nine hundred medicinal plants, among them many who came later from India and Asian countries, and until then were not used in ancient Mediterranean countries.
The medicinal plants were popular among ancestors of Slavs who lived on the territory of ancient Rus’, the inhabitants of Armenia and Georgia. With the advent of Christianity and the emergence of monasteries, the practice of treatment by using medicinal herbs has increased significantly.

Shamans: lookbook new collection by Natalia Valevskaya
We have the first images of the lookbook of the collection autumn-winter 2015/16 Natalia Valevskaya. The inspiration for the creation of these outfits served as Yakutia – a mysterious Northern land, full of life and incredible colors. Unique culture, the legacy of which we are yet to appreciate and understand fully.
The basis of the collection – has become the hallmark of the Fashion House designer prints, this time inspired by a bizarre ethnic ornaments of peoples of the North. Each art print has absorbed all the colors are fabulous Yakutia – noble berry and Burgundy, ice blue, festive red, grass-green, tanned skin and a pale winter sun.
The collection autumn / winter 15/16 are elements borrowed from the Yakut national costume, combined with practical, modern silhouettes and vibrant designer prints. Dress or suit, skirt or pants, a coat or jacket – any item from the collection is designed to combat the dullness of everyday life, allowing to plunge into the atmosphere of wandering.
To create the collection, the designer has turned not only to the history of the Yakut costume, but also to the semiotics of the Yakut ornament based on ancient talismans, protection symbols and wishes for wealth, prosperity, prosperity. Continue reading
